Synthesis and Antiinflammatory Activity of 4,6-Diphenyl-2pyrimidinecarboxylic Acid Amides.
-Several title pyrimidinecarboxylic acid amides (III) (17 examples) are prepared by amidation of the corresponding acid chlorides (I). The methoxy-and p-halogenoaryl derivatives (IIIc) -(IIIe) possess the best antiinflammatory activity comparable to acetylsalicylic acid.
