Synthesis and in vitro Anticancer Activity Evaluation of Biscarbamic Esters of 2,3-Bis(hydroxymethyl)-1-methyl-7-and 7,8-substitutedbenzo[g]indoles.

-A series of the title bis(hydroxymethyl) carbamate derivatives (V) (8 examples) are synthesized and evaluated for their cytostatic and cytotoxic activities in vitro. All the carbamates, especially derivative (Va), display significant tumor growth inhibition activity. -(PINNA, G. A.;
