1998 structure structure (solids and liquids) D 2000 47 -002 Synthesis, 11 B and 19 F NMR Spectra of the Monofluoropentaiodocloso-hexaborate Anion and the Crystal Structure of (CH 2 Py 2 )[B 6 FI 5 ].

-The title compound (III) crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pnma with Z = 4 (single crystal data). The 11 B NMR spectrum exhibits the three singlets characteristic for perhalogenated closo-hexaborates.
