## Abstract The reaction of the potassium salt of phenanthro[9,10β__d__]triazole and benzyl chloride gave 2β(benzyl)β2__H__βphenanthro[9,10β__d__]triazole (2a) in 15% yield. The other regioβisomer, 1β(benzyl)β1__H__βphenanthro[9,10β__d__]βtriazole (1a), was obtained as a byβproduct in 3.9% yield. S
