Structure and Dynamics of Lithium-Intercalated SnS 2 . 6,7 Li and 119 Sn Solid State NMR. -Location and dynamics of Li ions inserted into SnS 2 and the effects of Li insertion on the electronic structure of SnS 2 are studied by the title technique. From the results a multistep insertion mechanism is derived with successive occupations of interlayer octahedral and interlayer octahedral + tetrahedral (1:1) sites and final insertion into intralayer sites.
