✦ Synopsis

Stereocontrolled Access to Carba-C-disaccharides via Functionalized Dienylsilanes.

-The synthesis of C1β†’C6 carba-C-disaccharides [cf. (IV)] is reported. Thus a carba-sugar aldehyde such as (II), prepared from a dienylsilane via recently reported methods, is condensed with in situ generated 2-deoxyglucosyllithium followed by mild oxidation of the resulting alcohol. -
