Abstract
Transition metal antimonides including CoSb~3~, CoSb~2~, CoSb, NiSb, NiSb~2~, Cu~2~Sb, Mo~3~Sb~7~, the new ternary series Co~1โx~Ni~x~Sb (0.1 โค x โค 0.9), and the intermetallic SnSb are prepared by heating stoichiometric amounts of the appropriate metal oxides (Co~3~O~4~, NiO, CuO, MoO~3~, SnO, and Sb~2~O~3~) under a flow of 10% hydrogen in argon at moderate temperatures (450 ยฐC, 72โ120 h).
