✦ Synopsis

Reactions of 2-Polyfluoroalkylchromones with Aliphatic Diamines.

-The reaction of aliphatic 1,2-diamines with the title chromones affords 2,3-dihydro-1H-1,4-diazepines [cf.

(III), (VI)/(VII)] in good to excellent yields.

A similar reaction with 1,3-diaminopropane leads to trimethylenebis(hydroxyacetophenonimine) derivatives [cf.

(IX)] as a result of scission of the original chromones.
