β¦ Synopsis
Reaction of Pyrylium Salts with Nucleophiles. Part 24. New Monoand Bispyridinium Salts with a Central 2,5-Diaryloxazole Group.
-A number of mono-or diamino-2,5-diaryloxazoles (cf. (II)) are synthesized from the corresponding nitro compounds and utilized for the preparation of new mono-and bispyridinium salts (cf. (IV), (V)). All products have an intense longest-wavelength band in the UV-VIS spectra around 320 nm.
