โฆ Synopsis
Reaction of Nitrones with Trimethylsilylketene.
-Trimethylsilylketene reacts smoothly with diarylnitrones (I) to give oxindoles. Mixtures of N,N-diacylamines (V) and N-acylamines (VI) are formed with N-arylmethylnitrones (IV). The mechanism is discussed.
