PTC and Organic Bases-LiCl Assisted Alkylation of Imidazolidinone-Glycine Iminic Derivatives for the Asymmetric Synthesis of α-Amino Acids. -A detailed investigation of the title reactions leads to imine (I) as the optimal substrate and A) as the optimal conditions for both yield and d.e. of the desired products.
