Preparation of Useful Building-Blocks for the Synthesis of 7-Azanorbornylprostanoids. -With a view to synthesizing potential thromboxane A2 antagonists having a 7-azanorbornyl skeleton, starting materials such as (IV) and ( V) are prepared. As shown in other experiments the success of monosaponification to (II) is fairly dependent on structural factors. It is noteworthy that attempts to reduce the corresponding acid chloride of (III) to the aldehyde (IV) fail and that the yield of the reduction to (V) strongly depends on the reaction temperature. -(TRAVERSA, C.; FEGY, K.; BALME, G.;
