Preparation of Silyl-Substituted Dizinciomethanes and Their Reactions with Electrophiles.

-Silylated dibromomethanes (I) react with finely divided zinc in the presence of catalytic amounts of PbCl 2 to give the corresponding dizincio compounds (II). These can be subjected to stepwise reactions with two different electrophiles.
