Practical Synthesis of Unsymmetrical Polyamine Amides.

-Careful monoacetylation of spermine (I) with ethyl trifluoroacetate followed by full N-protection and selective detrifluoroacetylation provides a one-pot procedure for the preparation of unsymmetrically protected polyamines (III).
