Palladium-Catalyzed Alkoxycarbonylation of Aryl-and Alkenyliodonium Salts. -While the Pd-catalyzed alkoxycarbonylation of hypervalent iodine tetrafluoroborates and tosylates, e.g. (I) and (V), gives the corresponding methyl and phenyl ester (IV) and (VI), resp., in good yields, the use of iodonium triflates and bromides leads to 4-iodophenyl substituted methyl esters.
