โœฆ Synopsis


Ir(III). -Based on isolation of the palladium alkoxo complexes (VI) and their thermally-induced decomposition to t-butylbenzene and the biphenyls ( VIII) and (IX) or the ether (IVa) and their reaction with amines giving derivatives like (XI) it is found that Pd-catalyzed amination and etheration of aromatic compounds as well as reductive elimination of ethers proceed via palladium alkoxo complexes. Additionally, its is shown that Ir(III) methyl hydroxo complexes do not form methanol by C-O bond forming reductive elimination but by well-established alkylation of the hydroxo group. -(MANN, G.; HARTWIG,
