Novel Stereocontrolled Glycosidations of 2-Deoxyglucopyranosyl Fluoride Using a Heterogeneous Solid Acid, Sulfated Zirconia (SO 4 /ZrO 2 ).

-Use of the environmentally benign solid acid SO 4 /ZrO 2 in glycosidation reactions of 2-deoxy sugars and alcohols provides a simple, stereoselective, and high yielding protocol for the preparation of biologically important products possessing a 2-deoxy sugar as a glycosidic component. -
