Novel Dithiocarbamate Carbapenems with anti-MRSA Activity. -Novel carbapenems (IV) in which the C-2 atom is substituted by dithiocarbamate moiety are synthesized. Two of them, (IVa) and (IVb), show excellent in vitro and in vivo activity against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus.
