✦ Synopsis

Title compounds of type (VI) and (IX) are prepared and found to have good carbonic anhydrase isozymes I, II, and IV activating properties. Compared to histamine the higher activity of the compounds can be explained by introduction of the alkyl-or arylsulfonyl moiety.
