✦ Synopsis

New Route to 4-Alkoxyquinazoline-2-carbonitriles.

-The title compounds (III) and (VI) are prepared from their corresponding N-arylimino-1,2,3-dithiazoles (I) and (IV) by heating with an alcohol in the presence of a base. The yield of the products are improved, in a shorter reaction time, by microwave irradiation.
