Introduction. -Caesalpinia crista L. (Fabaceae) is a well-known medicinal plant widely distributed in tropical and subtropical regions of Southeast Asia. This plant is locally known as Ka-Lain in Myanmar, and its seeds are used as an anthelmintic, antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, and antimalarial age
