Monoaryl-and Bisaryldihydroxytropolones as Potent Inhibitors of Inositol Monophosphatase.
-An easy access to both series of title compounds as (VI) and (VIII) is possible in four steps by reversing the known synthetic reaction sequence, i.e. introducing to hydroxyl groups first and carrying out the Suzuki coupling reaction at the end. Both series (35 examples) are potent inhibitors of inositol monophosphatase. -(
