โฆ Synopsis
Mo(CO) 6 /TBHP Catalyzed Autoxidation of 5-Alkylidene-4,5dihydrofurans. -Catalytic autoxidation of 5-alkylidene-4,5-dihydrofurans to give the corresponding hydroperoxides proceeds efficiently using Mo(CO) 6 /tbutyl hydroperoxide. The influence of different parameters such as solvent, temperature, oxygen and amount of catalyst is examined. In the presence of a radical scavenger, the oxidation is inhibited suggesting a radical mechanism.
