β¦ Synopsis
Mo(CO)6-Catalyzed One-Pot Conversion of Allyl Aryl Ethers to Dihydrobenzofurans. -Mo(CO)6 is found to be an effective catalyst for the tandem Claisen rearrangement-cyclization reaction of the allyl aryl ethers (I) and ( IV) to give dihydrobenzofurans (II) and (V) in good yield. In some cases, trace amounts of the corresponding phenols are observed as well.
