Metal-Mediated Barbier-Type Carbonyl Allylation under Solvent-Free Conditions.

-In the title reaction no competing coupling products are observed which could be expected from a free-radical mechanism. A [4 + 2] cycloaddition mechanism is therefore proposed. If zinc or tin is used instead of indium, yields are considerably lower and reaction times are longer. -
