MAO-Catalyzed Allylzirconation of 1-Alkynes.

-Hydrozirconation of the allene (I) followed by Et3Al catalyzed reaction with ethynylbenzene is found to result in selective formation of the heptadiene (III). However, using methoxyaluminoxane (MOA) as catalyst gives a remarkably enhanced regioselectivity for (III).
