Magnetic Properties of Ho(Fe1-xNix)11.3Nb0.7 Compounds.
-Substitution of Ni for Fe up to x = 0.3 leads to a contraction of the unit cell of the title compounds crystallizing with ThMn12-type structure. With increasing Ni content the Curie temp. increases whereas the saturation magnetization decreases. According to the XRD pattern of the magnetically aligned samples, the Ni substitution has no influence on the easy magnetization direction running along the c axis. A first-order magnetization process (FOMP) observed at low temp. in HoFe11.3Nb0.7 becomes less pronounced with increasing temp. and disappears at
