The title compound is characterized by prompt Ξ³βray activation analysis, ^57^Fe Moessbauer spectroscopy, and magnetic measurements in order to explore the weakening of the ferromagnetic interactions caused by the gradual incorporation of Ga into Ξ³β²βFe~4~N.
