Lipase-Catalyzed Kinetic Resolution of α,β-Unsaturated α'-Acetoxy Ketones.

-The first general, preparative scale procedure for the lipasecatalyzed kinetic resolution of the title compounds providing enantiomerically pure α-acetoxy-and α-hydroxy ketones is presented. The lower e.e. values observed for the alcohols are explained by partial racemization of these compounds under the reaction conditions.
