Inelastic Neutron Scattering, IR and Raman Spectroscopic Studies of Mg 2 CoH 5 and Mg 2 CoD 5 .

-All the internal, some of the external and some modes of eq-and ax-Mg 2 CoD 4 H are observed and assigned for the title compounds by combination of the three methods. An empirical forcefield is developed as an essential aid to the assignment.
