Hydrothermal Synthesis of Cu 3 (OH) 2 V 2 O 7 •nH 2 O Nanoparticles and Its Application in Lithium Ion Battery. -The title nanoparticles are hydrothermally synthesized from aqueous solutions of V2O5, Cu(NO3)2, hexamethylenetetramine, and Na2SO4 (autoclave, 140 °C, 24 h) and characterized by XRD, FE-SEM, FTIR and Raman spectroscopy, and electrochemical measurements. Cu3(OH)2V2O7•2H2O is an ideal candidate as positive electrode material for lithium ion batteries. It exhibits steady initial discharge platforms near 1.7 V. The first discharge capacity is 868 and 845 mAh/g at a current density of 0.01 and 0.02 mAcm -2 , respectively. -(NI*,
