โฆ Synopsis
Fe-Site Substitution Effect on the Structural and Magnetic Properties in SrFeO 2 .
-The substitution effect on structural and magnetic properties of Sr(Fe1-xMx)O2 (M: Co, Mn) is characterized by synchrotron XRD, neutron diffraction, and 57 Fe Moessbauer spectroscopy. Both systems show a similar solubility limit of x โ 0.3, retaining the ideal infinite layer structure (space group P4/mmm). For the Fe-Co solid solution, a linear and slight decrease of the in-plane and out-of-plane cell parameters occurs with x. For the Fe-Mn system, the lattice evolution is also linear but quite anisotropic. The magnetic properties are little influenced by Co substitution, whereas Mn substitution results in a significant reduction of the Neel temperature, indicating the presence of ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic interactions. -(KAGEYAMA*, H.;
