Abstract

Novel selenium‐containing bicyclic β‐lactams are synthesized by a stereoselective insertion of (but‐3‐enyl)seleno and propargylseleno moieties at the C(4) positions of azetidinones with subsequent ring‐closing enyne metathesis.
