Direct Alkylation of 2-Acylamino-and 2-Aminopyrazines with Organolithium Reagents. -Regioselective alkylation of 2-Aminopyrazine at the 3-position is achieved with organolithium reagents in THF at low temperature. The preparation of (IIId) represents a formal total synthesis of coelenterazine.
