Development of a One-Pot Palladium-Catalyzed Hydrostannylation/Stille Coupling Protocol with Catalytic Amounts of Tin.

Ξ±-Trisubstituted alkynes are chosen as substrates in the title reaction utilizing a palladium catalyst and either Bu 3 SnH or (Bu 3 Sn) 2 O/PMHS as the hydride source to afford 1,3-dienes. Furthermore, it is demonstrated that in the presence of Na 2 CO 3 it is possible to carry out the reaction with catalytic amounts of tin.
