Cyclopropanation of Phenyl Styryl Sulfones with Phenacylsulfonium Ylides under Phase-Transfer Catalysis. -The title reaction results in the stereoselective formation of cyclopropanes (III) (12 examples). This phase transfer catalyzed reaction proves to be more facile and efficient than direct addition of ylides to sulfones (I).
