โฆ Synopsis
1998 structure structure (solids and liquids) D 2000 47 -023 Crystallization of Ultraphosphates via the Gas Phase. The Crystal Structures of FeP 4 O 11 , ZnP 4 O 11 and CdP 4 O 11 .
-Single phases of the new ultraphosphates of title are prepared by chemical vapor transport using P and I 2 as mineralizer. The ultraphosphates (III) and (V) are isotypic to CuP 4 O 11 . The structure is refined in the pseudo-monoclinic space group C1 (Z = 8). The crystal structure consists of a two-dimensional network built up from four crystallographically independent 10-membered polyphosphate rings. Each ring contains four secondary and six tertiary PO 4 groups. The M 2+ ions (M: Fe, Zn, Cd) occupy slightly distorted octahedral sites between the ultraphosphate layers. -(
