Abstract

Copper complexes (I) bearing an N‐heterocyclic carbene ligand are efficient catalysts for the hydrocarboxylation of unsymmetrical or symmetrical alkynes using SiH(OEt)~3~ as reducing agent to give Ξ±,β‐unsaturated carboxylic acids as (E)‐isomers.
