Blue-Emitting Phosphor M 2 B 5 O 9 Cl: Eu 2+ (M: Sr, Ca) for White LEDs. -The title phosphors are prepared by solid state reaction of stoichiometric amounts of SrCO3 or CaCO3, SrCl2 or CaCl2 (5% excess), H3BO3 (10% excess), and Eu2O3 (corundum crucible, 900 ยฐC, 4 h). The luminescence properties of t
