โฆ Synopsis
CdWO 4 Polymorphs: Selective Preparation, Electronic Structures, and Photocatalytic Activities. -CdWO 4 polymorphs are solvothermally synthesized from mixtures of Cd 2 Cl 2 and Na 2 WO 4 using water as solvent to prepare monoclinic CdWO 4 , and propylene glycol for tetragonal CdWO 4 (autoclave, 200 ยฐC, 10 h). The samples are characterized by XRD, Raman, UV/VIS, and photoluminescence spectroscopy, and DFT electronic structure calculations. Monoclinic CdWO 4 exhibits a much higher photocatalytic activity than tetragonal CdWO 4 towards the degradation of methyl orange under UV light irradiation -(

of the title compounds are prepared by a citrate complex method starting with an aqueous solution of NH4H2[NbO(C2O4)3], M(NO3)2 (M: Sr, Ba), and Bi(NO3)3, citric acid, H2O2, and HNO3 (pH 6.5 adjusted with NH3, 65 ยฐC, 1 h). The resulting gel is calcined at 650-850 ยฐC (4 h). Single phase orthorhombic
