✦ Synopsis

Catalytic Activity of Bis(dialkylamino)carbenium Salts in Hydrosilylation Reactions.

-The hydrosilylation of unsaturated compounds using bis(dialkylamino) carbenium salts bearing metal complex counterions as catalysts is studied. The reaction rate depends on the carbenium structure, nature of the complex metal anion and substitution pattern of the reactants. All catalysts need a short induction period to form the catalytically active species. The catalysts can be immobilized on silica gel without loss of their effectiveness and stability.
