โœฆ Synopsis

Branched Non-Covalent Complexes Between Carboxylic Acids and Two Tris(amidines).

-Tris(amidine) bases (V) and (VIII) form easily 3:1 complexes with carboxylic acids. When acids are used, which contain suitable solubilizing substituents, the salts are soluble in nonpolar solvents and complexation through hydrogen bonding is strong. However, some preparative drawbacks are observed concerning compounds (V) and (VII). In contrast, complexes (X) are easy to handle with respect to accessibility and purification. Furthermore, association constants are determined. -(KRAFT, ARNO; J.
