β¦ Synopsis
Bis[bis(methylthio)lithiomethyl]dimethylsilanes: A Useful Reagent for the Synthesis of Polysilacarbacycles via Disilylation.
-The lithiated title compound (I) is a novel reagent for the synthesis of polysilacarbacycles such as (III) or (V) through a dianionic ring-closure strategy. The two sulfenyl groups play a key role in stabilization of the dilithiated silane and can be easily removed.
