Asymmetric Reactions Catalyzed by Chiral Metal Complexes. Part 75. Chiral Palladium Complex-Catalyzed Synthesis of Optically Active Vinylchromane.
-The synthesis of optically active vinylchromane (III), a useful chiral intermediate to tocopherol analogue drugs, by catalytic and asymmetric allylic substitution of prochiral allyl carbonate (II) with palladium complexes of chiral bisphosphine ligands is described. The absolute configuration of the vinylchromane (III) depends on the P/M-chirality of the ligands used.
