An Efficient Chemical Method for Removing N-Terminal Extra Methionine from Recombinant Methionylated Human Growth Hormone.

-The title process is successfully achieved via a transamination reaction and a phenylene-1,2-diamine treatment. The method may be of more general use for the preparation of non-methionylated recombinant proteins for clinical use.
