An Amidyl Radical Cyclization Approach Towards the Synthesis of β-Lactams.

-As part of an ongoing program concerning the synthesis of β-lactam-containing compounds, the 4-exo-trig cyclization of amidyl radicals, derived from hydroxamic acid derivatives (III) by tributylstannane-mediated homolysis, is investigated.
