Alkylations of Functionalized Organozinc Reagents with Allylic Epoxides Catalyzed by a Cyanocuprate.

-Transmetalation of the title reagents with either LiCuCN(Me) or Li2CuCN(Me)2 affords a cyanocuprate which selectively transfers the zinc substituents to allylic epoxides, thus establishing a novel and efficient alkylation of functionalized zinc compounds.
