A Novel Synthesis of 1,5-Dithio-β-D-xylopyranosides.

-Since thioxylosidic compounds, e.g. naroparcil, beciparcil and iliparcil, have been evaluated as oral antithrombotic agents, interest in a (β)-stereoselective synthesis of such compounds leads to the preparation of xylopyranoside (III).
