✦ Synopsis
Single crystals of the κ-phase are extracted electrolytically from an alloy of nominal composition Al 80 Cr 10 Ni 10 prepared by arc melting of the high-purity metals under argon atmosphere.
The chemical composition of the κ-phase is ≈Al 76 Cr 18 Ni 6 (≡ Al 14.4 Cr 3.4 Ni 1.1 ). The phase crystallizes in the hexagonal space group P6 3 with Z = 12 (based on the latter composition). -(SATO, A.; YAMAMOTO,
