Part 36. Synthesis of 2-R-Oxazolo[4,5c]quinolin-4(5H)-ones.

-The synthesis of the title oxazoloquinolinones [cf. (III), (V), (VII) and (IX)] by cyclocondensation reactions between 3amino-4-hydroxyquinolinones (I) and carbonyl compounds or by intramolecular cyclization of N-acyl derivatives of (I) under appropriate conditions is described.
